STEAM Club
Each week we will be exploring STEAM with experiences and challenges with hands-on activities that involve engineering, electricity, scientific experiments, and maker projects. Come develop skills such as creativity, problem solving, resilience, flexibility when participating in STEAM challenges.
Session for pre-teens and teenagers in the 5th to 8th grades.

Design & Crafts
In our art and painting classes, with teacher Marcia Maia, we will do projects in drawing, painting and handicrafts with themes exclusively linked to our culture and with an emphasis on the artistic expression of each student. We will be using traditional materials for drawing and painting as well as recycled and low-cost materials for crafts.
Session for 1st-5th year.

Capoeira
Guilherme Torres “Mestre Pinga Fogo”, teaches capoeira to children and adults for over 20 years. His classes are always well diversified, as he believes that capoeira is much more than just being “upside down”, so his classes are divided into practice, theory and musicality.
Through the art of capoeira, he manages to teach children and adolescents in a playful and fun way, the Brazilian culture, the Portuguese language, traditional music and dances, and the history of Brazil.

The Projeto Brasil Channel
This workshop for pre-teens and teenagers in the 5th to 8th grade explore applications for editing movies and podcasts, using green screens, creating and editing text, filming and lighting.
Come produce videos and podcasts with us! You choose your role: you can be a reporter or presenter, you can work behind the scenes editing videos and podcasts, or you can have both roles.

Singing & Storytime
Workshop full of stories and music for children from 3 years to K with our teacher Claudia Cordeiro. The objective of this workshop is to stimulate conversation and vocabulary acquisition through stories and musical games.
Come sing, play, and listen to stories with us.

Science Club
Each week a different experience! Come learn about hands-on science with Professor Claudia Cordeiro. We will learn about the scientific method by observing, questioning, creating hypotheses, experimenting, analyzing the results and reaching a conclusion.

Maker Club
Create, invent, reinvent! Clube Maker will challenge you to create, to solve problems, to invent. We will be working with a variety of materials and tools.
The first session is for students of PSL (Portuguese as a Second Language) and the second session will be for PLH.
The activities and challenges encourage language skills in the areas of speaking, writing and reading and vocabulary acquisition.
